Children remain at our school until the end of Year 6, when they transfer to a secondary school.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, 57% of the year group took part in the Kent selection procedure (Kent Test) at the start of Year 6 to assess their suitability for grammar school. Of those, 65 per cent were deemed suitable for a grammar school education.
Due to our geographical location, children leave us to attend many different secondary schools. We have good links with all of the schools which helps to ensure a smooth transition for the children and their families.
In 2018 our Year 6s have been offered places at the following schools:
Aylesford School (Sports College)
Bennett Memorial Diocesan School
Hadlow Rural Community School
Hillview School for Girls
Hugh Christie Technology College
Invicta Grammar School
Maidstone Grammar School for Girls
Oakwood Park Grammar School
Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys
St Augustine Academy
St Simon Stock Catholic School
In previous years our students have also been offered places at Cornwallis Academy, Maidstone Grammar School, New Line Learning Academy, Oakley School, Sutton Valence School, The Hayesbrook School, The Judd School, The Malling School, The Skinners’ School and Valley Park School.
We hold an information evening in Year 5 for parents of children wishing to find out more about the Kent selection procedure.
