Our vision…to be an excellent Christian primary school at the heart of the community where we inspire, excite and enable all to achieve.
Applying for a Reception place for a September 2021 start?
The school is holding three open days for prospective parents of children starting school in September 2021. We hold three open mornings: 6th and 8th October 2020 and 24th November 2020. These are followed by an ‘Open Classroom’ on 13th October 2020 where children and parents spend time playing together in the classroom. We would like to encourage parents to attend one of our Open Mornings and our Open Classroom to learn about the school, understand our ethos and experience our Reception class environment. We also welcome prospective parents (and children) throughout the year.
The application deadline is 15th January 2021 and offers to parents are made on 16th April, 2021.
Entry into Reception class
We have one intake each year of 30 pupils, at the start of the Autumn Term. Reception pupils are normally admitted to school in the September following their 4th birthday. Prospective parents are most welcome to make an appointment to look around our school or to visit on one of our Open Days.
Following the national offer day in April, we begin the process of ensuring every child’s entry into school is happy and relaxed. In the Summer Term before the September start, parents are invited to an Information Evening to find out more about the school, how we work and to ask any questions. This meeting also gives parents the opportunity to meet and talk with the Reception class teacher and other support staff. Our Reception teacher will also visit the area preschools to get acquainted with the children in a familiar environment for them. In July, children are invited to visit the Reception class on three afternoons, the first with parents staying with their child.
Entry into Years 1 – Years 6
Parents of older children, moving into the area, are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school and to discuss admission with the Headteacher. Unlike admission into Reception, an application for a place in the older year groups can be directed straight to the school office. Please contact the office for more information.
