Welcome to Wateringbury Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School
Welcome to Wateringbury CE Primary School, situated in the beautiful Medway valley just outside Maidstone. The school is perfectly positioned alongside the river and the railway line. We use our beautiful geographical setting to inspire a love for the outdoors in our children and we use the railway for a rich variety of school visits around Kent and to London. We are fortunate to enjoy a large outdoor space that includes a playing field, two playgrounds, kitchen gardens, outdoor learning areas and a nature corner with undisturbed habitats and ponds.
Our vision statement summarises what we believe and set out to fulfil: “…to be an excellent Christian primary school at the heart of our community where we inspire, excite and enable all to achieve.”
We are committed to providing a high-quality education which speaks to every pupil and where each child, regardless of faith and background, is held within an inclusive Christian setting. We expect every child to achieve the highest standards of which he or she is capable – and to experience the joy and satisfaction that this brings. Our Christian values of Love, Peace, Wisdom, Forgiveness, Compassion and Justice inform all we do together – both in the classroom, in our worship, around school and beyond the school gates. We are a school which joins with families, church and community in the pursuit of excellence where social, emotional and spiritual development is as important as academic.
Whilst you will get a good overview of our school from our website, there is nothing quite like a visit. Our door is always open and we would love to welcome you to the school of which we are so proud.
