Vision and Values
Our vision and motto are enriched through biblical scripture, in particular John (10:10) ‘I came to give life - life in all its fullness’ and the story of Matthew 13 in which Jesus tells The Parable of the Sower.
“But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands.”
(Matthew 13:24)
Mission
Learning, growing achieving...our journey together with God
Vision
Guided by our Christian values and nurturing culture, we aspire to enable everyone to grow green leaves to meet the challenges of our ever-changing world and to send out our roots to the wider community.
Every child is seen as a unique learner, loved by God and is equally valued and championed to grow and achieve their very best in all they do.

Learning
Our values are linked to the themes of our curriculum and also to the significant figures that are studied.
There are also links to our learning behaviours in the Parable of the Sower:
- good soil represents good learning behaviours, deep learning and retention of knowledge.
- the seeds that fell on the path represent no desire to learn (motivation);
- rocky soil represents learning with no depth or challenges
- with the thorns being distractions to learning.
There are hymns and bible stories linked to each value. We have newly developed learning behaviours that are linked to our Christian values, for examples our Christian value of ‘love’ means that we take pride in our learning and produce the best work we can.
